Solar Farm From the West Side of the River

Today I went to the west side of the river principally to scout the area so I could go back when the light is more dramatic.

About 75% of the panels are now installed.

This is not a particularly good view except that you can clearly see where I took the images when I was on the other side of the river. It is in the upper left corner where there is a small snow patch along the bottom of the tree line. There is a small trail leading up to it.

I used a 200 mm lens so there is quite some compression in this image. It is a lot farther away than it appears.

The area is posted "Private Property,” but I had no encounters with security.

That's a whole lot of color panels!

Quite an impressive operation. Interesting juxtaposition between man and nature. V

That is quite the project, and a great capture of it from this POV. V.

I think your image is illuminating. It is much larger than I expected. The foreground branches mirror the full cover of trees. "V"
