This used to be a big beautiful city park, within an up scale residential area.

The initial residents are not happy with our Mayor for doing this. They lose the big park, there is an increase in the population density and it also drives down the value of their homes. Some people paid big money to l1ve here.

What offends me is that the City made the land developer build the park and donate the land to the City. So in fact, all the initial home owners paid for it in the price of their homes when they bought them. It does not seen right the City should be able to re-purpose the land.

People also noted, with interest, that the area where the Mayor lives is absent this kind of development.
