Dashbaldar is a small town in Dornod aimag near the Russian border. Quite a large proportion of the population are Buryats and people live in houses rather than girs. We were invited to the Naadam and were the only white people there. What an experience! It was a joyous day with Mongolians revelling in the archery, wrestling and horserace. I was amazed at the relationship between Mongolians and their horses. This was truly a partnership.
