These images represent work produced as Chief Photographer at The Daily Gazette in Schenectady, NY. Some were for our regular weekly food feature. Others were composed to meet a need for conceptual illustration for stories that did not present convenient opportunities for documentary art. No matter the genesis, a good illustration should catch the readers eye and make them look–and then look again. They should be touched emotionally or made to wonder "How did they do that?" and drawn into reading the story.
