What a cold, snowy, GREAT race! The normal course through the woods in the nature preserve was unusable because of so much snow, so race organizer Heather had everyone ride laps around Iroquois Lake in Central Park. First to finish 10 laps wins! Check out the Turkish guys in the group photo. They drove all the way up from NYC in a snowstorm to do the race. Their guy was the one in reflective glasses and they cheered him on with Turkish rock music blaring from the sound system in their van at the finish line. Wiley--the dude in the red jacket--ended up winning. But everyone got prizes, even the winner of the unicycle class, who was running a studded tire. Be sure to check out the guy with icicles on his beard and Wiley trying to catch snowflakes on his tongue while drafting the lead rider!
