This was made over a long period of time (not the star trail, upper left center) beginning at twilight and ending in the dark, on Fuji transparency film. The eye could see no color. Seeing the transparency when I developed it was absolutely shocking, even though I understood why the color is visible (in our eyes the color sensitive cones don't respond below a threshold level of light and only the value sensitive rods can function. That is why we don't see color at night, but film can.)
The bright mark in the lower right resulted from the headlights of a passing vehicle on the road.
