Zeke's surgery is over and we brought him home today. It was a long day yesterday, most of it just waiting. We arrived at 9:00am and left at about 10:00pm when we were finally certain that Zeke was OK. The actual surgery was done around 5 pm. It took quite a while for him to come out of the anesthesia and it had us concerned until we he finally opened his eyes and moved around a little. Even so, we left to go to the motel, which was only a few miles away, reluctantly. We called and checked on him after we got into the motel and settled around 11:00pm and then we called again at around 4am. We were able to go see him around 7:30am this morning and got to begin the trip home around 9:00am. We're all home now and resting. Zeke will need significant supervision and very limited mobility for at least the next six weeks to keep from causing problems with the knee. I'll try to give more specifics on the procedure and such later. Thanks for all the good wishes, prayers and thoughts. The people on this list are great! Of course, since they own bulldog's. that should not be a surprise.
