Went to one of my favorite spots the Moody Garden early this morning. The weather was just so beautiful. The Queen butterfly loves the colorful Bird of Paradise plant.

Today was a windy/dusty day. Not a day to be outside taking photos. Still working with the D200 for macro shots.. this photo in color just didn't appeal to me. So I tried converting to B/W. Hope you like the effect.

Saw these little skipper butterflys on this yellow Lanata every day this week. They are so very fast and small. Finally got one today. It was taken at noon so the sun was so bright.

Another from our Historic Downtown area. I choose this today because I like the repeating patterns/lines. Now that the weather is slowing cooling off, love to walk and explore this area. Where I work is in the mist of all of it . Have seen many changes to this area and it becomes more alive each day.

One of the women's group I belong to has a Photo hunt each month. On the list this month was broken. This door caught my eye today and think it fits the challenge for broken. Like the peeling paint.. rusted doorhandle..the hole in the door.. allot to drawn your eye too.

Driving home after work today saw this beautiful purple bush in bloom. I just had to stop and get a photo. I can't believe it is October already. From now on time will go by so fast with each holiday coming up.Time to get out the pumpkins fall is here.
