In a word - Yes. When time allows I leave the city for photography more than I take shots in the City, and lately I've been trying for more wildlife depictions than ever before (now that equipment enables). But the best birds I've been capturing this past year have been in Central Park. I know where they frequent, and they are less skittish regarding people than those in wilder locations. This fellow was about 50 feet from shore, in the Rambles portion of The Lake.

Nice composition. Are these birds used to New Yorkers, to allow you to get so close?
