Black-Capped Chickadee

We're only at the rural house every other week. This individual seems to purposely get my attention
whenever I'd leave the house in the morning, and would get me to leave seeds out (a bear destroyed
the feeder earlier). When the plate was finished, I started leaving seeds on the porch railing to get
them closer for the camera. Because of the boldness of this fellow I tried putting the seeds in
hand, and placed my hand next to the railing where feeding occurred earlier. Once one began to take
seeds from my hand the others eventually got their courage up. And the rest of the day was
basically spent feeding them by hand as they followed us about the property. There's worse ways to
pass the time. ;)
