Spiza americana
Dickcissels are grassland birds of the midwest. Based on conversations with long-time CP birders, this is the first Dickcissel seen in the park in about 50 years. Over 100 birders arrived within the first few hours of its discovery, and was a 'lifer' for many. The cooperative male bird stayed on Falconer's Hill for 2 days.
