In Central Park, Wilson's Warblers are one of the less commonly seen warblers during spring and fall migration.

According to the Stokes Field Guide to Birds of North America,'the amount of black in the cap varies by age, sex, and subspecies and there is some overlap, making it difficult to age and sex some birds'. This picture appears in that guide as an adult female.
