Bubo virginianus

A member of my Christmas count team discovered this Great Horned Owl on 12/18/05. It is a rare visitor to the park, and usually a one-day-wonder, so we were all surprised when it was seen the following day. Each night at about 5PM, a fan club of loyal owl watchers attended the fly-out. It was last seen January 27th 2006.
