Bedford, MI (AP) The Bedford Indians, in a last ditch effort to save their season may have found a diamond in the rough last night at White Park Field #1 in a game against the division rival Cardinals. Brandon Eff, a right handed pitcher from their Triple-A farm club in Rochester, was inserted as the Indians starting pitcher last night and rewarded the parent club by painting a masterpiece. Eff threw 2 innings of hitless baseball and was in command of all his pitches. Clocked at 94mph on the gun, Eff intimidated the Cardinals lineup all night with his outstanding control and pitch selection. Unfortunately, the Indians defense let him down by allowing 8 unearned runs and going down to defeat to their cross-town rivals. Eff is in the last year of his contract and is expected to test the free agent waters at the end of the season.
