On Sunday March 13 Katie and I walked with the local chapter of the Cal Poly SLO local Alumni Association for a walk to the Point San Luis Lighthouse. It was a fun 4ish mile round trip. For a small fee the Association arranged the trip and provided sack lunches from Sands Liquor and Deli in SLO. We were lucky we responded to the email early, the trip was limited to 15 people. They stopped talking names for the alternate list when it reached 50 names. This walk is across PG&E Diablo Canyon Power Plant Property. It was a docent lead walk with much information about the history of Avila, Port San Luis, Hanford Pier and the Lighthouse. We had a great time.
