We hosted a Holiday gathering at our house for Bob's group from work. Jared lent Bob his Turkey Fryer setup and Bob Fried a Turkey for the event. It was GREAT!
The basics:
- Heat 4 to 5 gallons of peanut oil to 375 degrees.
- Slowly, very slowly lower a turkey into the hot oil.
- Cover when it settles down a bit.
- Keep at 300 to 350 for 65 minutes (3.5 min per pound).
- Remove and let sit for 15 to 30 minutes.
- Turn down the burner, but keep the oil hot.
- Eat
- After dinner make the deep fried ice cream.
