January 2005 at the Grand Canyon. Finally got up there during a bit of wintery weather. Set up the tent in freezing drizzle, woke up to inch or so of snow. The lower angle of the sun in winter means good Canyon colors any time of the day...when the sun pokes through the storm clouds, that is. Last few shots are practice attempts at photographing the ravens with my new Canon 20D, in anticipation of the California Condors this summer.
