Oct 2004: I soloed the trip this time and really took my time just pondering the place. Yeah, it's a permit area but well worth the hassle of getting one. Don't know another location on the planet like it. Frustrating how the photos never truly convey it's full character. These are just a few of the way too many shots I couldn't help taking.
