The shot of BM597 in the thin fog is fantastic. So "atmospheric". Can almost hear the scramble bell in the background.

I really enjoyed looking at this gallery. Isn't the Spitfire the most wonderfully evocative aeroplane? I wouldn't want to under-value the part played by the Hurricane, but the Spitfire is a masterpiece of design and defiance.
