Star Trails

Woke up really early this morning to watch the Orionid Meteor shower, which is the remains of the
Halleys comet.

Saw twelve bright meteors in the span of an hour. Though only one very dim one was caught by the
camera.

Here I pointed the camera roughly due west ( maybe a bit too North ) which results in the two
bowed star trails.
This image was created by stacking 123 pictures, each shot at 30 second exposure time.

Nikon D70 ,Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM
123 pictures stacked, 30s, f/4.0, 10 mm, iso=800, tripod full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto
