Star Trails over Half Dome

On this night we went to Glacier Point to view the stars under the moonless night.

Here is a ten minute exposure with Noise Reduction ON of the stars rising from the East.

The tight cluster of stars to the right of Half Dome are the "Seven Sisters" or the Pleiades.

The bright red streak rising to the right of Half Dome is the star Aldebaran of the
constellation Taurus. As it is in the head of Taurus, it is called the Bull's Eye.

590s f/5.6 at 20.0mm, NR on and ISO =800 full exif

a great atmosphere in this shot, reminds one how time passes so much quicker for us
humans than for mountains or stars.
