Nesting Pied-Billed Grebe

Took a early morning walk around my favorite lagoon at the Sunnyvale Baylands.

Found this Grebe testing her new nest.

Here is another picture of this Grebe couple piling more wet reeds to the new nest

Beautiful nature shot Bryan. The bird and nest are so well hidden. The setting obviously is perfect but the eye to eye contact, well, only one thing to do: vote.

Great nature photography. These are well photographed and interesting photos. The nest appears to be floating on the water as does the baby. He also seems to be outgrowing it a rapid pace. :)
