Wild Rose

Did a long hike at Windy Hill OSP, overlooking Palo Alto.
The day started out with high whispy clouds, but as we hiked to the top of the ridge,
we were in the clouds.

Lots of wildflowers were blossoming. Forget-Me-Nots were lining the deep forested trail, as well
as Columbine, and White Globe Lilys.

There were also a lot of these wild roses blossoming along the trails.

Wildlife encounters were with a very long snake in the grass, a sunning lizard on the trail,
dragonflys and damselflies.

Great detail on this little flower! I like your DOF. And, sounds like you had a great day.

Like the composition, too. And the way the color of the flower pops up from the greens of the foliage.

Very pretty. Doesn't really resemble a domestic rose at all. Beautiful colors.

I like the composition and the way the flower seems to shine out of the darkness.
