There have been a rash of mountain lion sighting in the South Bay all year and so
I've been making it a habit of looking up in the trees as we hike in the
foothills of the Santa Clara Valley.

While not a mountain lion, I did find a Bobcat laying comfortably on a branch
of an Oak tree just off the trail. He/She was probably weighted around 20 pounds
and pretty much ignored the paparazzi as we took pictures of it.
