Found myself at the Monarch Butterfly Nature Preserve in Santa Cruz.
100,000 Monarchs spend the winter in eucalyptus trees protected from the
winter winds. They arrive in mid October and stay till March.
In the spring and summer, the monarchs live in valleys west of the Rockies,
living on only the California Milkweed plant.
Also found some Chrysalis at a demo area for Monarchs.
