Taken a couple of days before the full moon near Dewey Pt. in Yosemite NP.

We went snow shoeing out near the cliffs and camped overnight to catch the view of the valley in the moonlight. It started out ominous for viewing as the clouds were threatening to rain.
But it cleared up as the moon rose and we were able to enjoy a clear view across the valley. It also lit up the campsite and the surrounding trees and snow.

It was very nice after all the work getting to the campsite.
