To the left of this 88% illuminated waning gibbous moon is the silhouette of the dome housing the
36" Refractor telescope at the top of Mount Hamilton.

Shot over the backyard fence from the other side of the Santa Clara Valley, approximately 25 miles away.

If the moon clears the horizon just north of east then this photo opp occurs from the backyard;-)
