Yeah, I know it looks like I was constantly looking at my map
(and indeed, I was). But only because that's just the way my
mind works -- if I don't constantly know where I've been and
where I am, then all my images (and all my memories) later on
are just a big hodge-podge blur rather than having any sense
of sequential order. And that place, for example, looks to me
to be about the point we decided not to venture any further
south, but to otherwise re-orientate ourselves and start heading
up north from Chinatown and towards Little Italy.
