Screen & Battery replacement on iPhone 6s
Despite having a phone cover, an errant drop...
connected with a rock on the pavement...
resulting in broken glass
Warming the seals
Rice in bag - home made neck warmer!
Got it open just far enough to trap my fingernail!
Finally, cover open. No saving the adhesive
Unplugged. 4 connectors: Battery, 3 to display module
Battery removed; new battery ready to install
Moving home button from old to new
thin rubber seal - and the 5th connector
Home button moved - Tough to mate connector
New seal installed, 4 of 5 connectors were difficult to mate - tough getting them to locate
Before buttoning it up, test booted - it would destroy the seals again if a reopen was needed
Complete boot, all functional!
Buttoned up, fully functional, old display module, battery
