august 09 additions are from first outing with new lens(!) - a 400mm f2.8 blunderbuss (with 2x converter) - around lake samsonvale and toorbul wader roost on a very warm and blowy saturday.

earlier shots of a curious beach stone curlew at amity point north stradbroke island. bronzewing, hobby, zebra finch, brolgas, apostlebirds and spotted bowerbird from nive downs nr augathella qld. ibises from waikola abt 90km east of roma. flame robin from bruny island, tasmania. (apologies for the heat haze in some shots. it was 40C+ in places, which made shooting difficult).

june 09 additions incl a great-billed heron having a morning stretch at cairns botanical gardens, a red-back kingfisher from betoota, a pink-eared duck nr roma and more beach stone curlews doing their matching rocks impression from the cairns esplanade.
