The boys and I went to Islamorada in the Florida Keys to chase the mighty tarpon on fly rod. Paul could only stay the first three days, but Phillip and I hung on for four more. We had exceptionally windy conditions every single day which made everything very tough. Finally on day 6 Phillip hooked and landed our first tarpon, a beautiful 70 pounder. There was extreme happiness and much relief by all after working so hard for one fish. He got a twin fish the next morning. Yours truly went 0 for 7 days, but that's tarpon fishing!
