Hurricane Rita

In the summer of 2005, the big news for Houston was the expected arrival of Hurricane Rita. It was a Category 5 monster with winds of 175mph in the middle of the Gulf, heading right for Houston. We had days to prepare for the storm that ultimately moved off to the east and thrashed the Texas and Lousisiana coasts between Beaumont and Lake Charles.
