I was a guest on a gorgeous Viking 68 named High Cotton. We left at about 6:30am and returned about 7:30pm after fishing about 65 miles out if Port Aransas at the Falcon platform. We raised 2-3 marlin which decided not to eat, but we boated one sail - the first billfish I've ever seen - and two small dolphins (Mahi). We were rocking and rolling all day in 4-6 foot seas with the occasional 7,8,or 9 footer thrown in, but it was still a beautiful day to be out.
Cool blue lights first thing in the morning
the upper tower
Billy clearing some lines as we troll around Falcon
The Captain's Quarters, two levels above the cockpit
Geometry in action. Beautiful aluminum work.
A bow that needs some sunbathers
Backing down on Tim's sailfish
The end game
Happy mate and fisherman
Yep, more tower shots. Couldn't help myself.
The only view of almost the whole boat I could get
