I went to Seaside Heights for some photos of the boardwalk on a blustery winter day and saw these guys surfing. Air temperature was in the 20s (F) with a 10-15 mph wind from shore. It was a good opportunity to test out my new lens. I didn't get close enough. But tighter crops look very good. Dynamic autofocus usually picked the wrong sensor to focus with. Apparently Nikon engineers think the brightest thing must be the most important subject. I thought it was about tracking the subject, but it's about tracking the highest contrast in the scene.
