12-pounder Napoleon near the Dunker Church_14041

The cannon in this area belonged to the Confederate Army and fired into the Cornfield and West and East Woods during the Union Army's morning offensive. The 12-pound Napoleon was the most common artillery piece on both sides by the end of the war. It had a range of a mile.
