April 10, 2005

It was a rare day in Washington, DC. Actually perfect weather. Cool, sunny and dry. I played with my 300mm for a different look at the Lincoln Memorial.

Then photographed some rugby. The U.S. Naval Academy beat somebody adn immediately had to play Georgetown for the tournament championship. They were losing when I left.

Then short ride around Haines Point. The blossoms in bloom around the entire penninsula. Here's a final shot at the end of the ride.

Lincoln has been given a B&W treatment and then duotoned: Black and Pantone 422C.

I dunno. This photo makes Abe look like a Roman emperor who's about to give someone the thumbs down.

Great GREAT composition. The tonal range is excellent, Mark. Looks like you really gave that lens a good work out!

Really neat perspective of a scene that's been photographed so many times. Good eye...well done!

Unusual and striking image Mark... never quite seen Abe in this light.
