On my way home from church Sunday I noticed the Marine Corps Marathon was still in progress and walked down to the Capitol to watch and take a few photos. Then I played around at the Supreme Court with the 12-24mm lens I rented for a wedding the day before. This runner asked me if I would take his photo and he handed me his point and shoot digital. I took two photos and neither looked like what I had expected from the viewfinder. Okay, I don't know how to use those simpler cameras anymore. I offered to take his photo with my camera. I kept telling him to come closer...closer. I love the 12mm...sometimes.

Congratulations on finishing Doug, whatever your time. I couldn't do 10k. I pick up the 8x12s tomorrow.
