Hey, nice lens! But the image is a winner. I love the warmth and the movement.

Excellent perspective, and love the angle!

Like the perspective Mark and the motion blur of the folks on the platform. I'll mail you at some point for a report on that lens though I was looking at the cheaper Sigma - only don't tell Jayne I was even looking at all!!!!!

Way cool Mark! Where do you find a rental lens?
Guest 22-Jul-2004 14:57
Great shot, excellent framing, interesting lighting, emphasizes the rushing of people getting there in time, makes the carriages look warm and inviting.
Reminds me somehow of Battlestar Galactica? Hope the subway doesn't take off like a rollercoaster ;-)

The 12-24 is an amazing lens, I tried the Sigma and found it better. Also it has a better focal range. The Hypersonic motor makes it double as fast as the Nikon and this is an advantage in shooting in crowdy places. Note that it is up to 30% cheeper as well.

Nicely composed - I love the perspective on this. Subways are a great place to shoot photos. Of course, I am also amaze that this subway looks so nice and clean and modern.

Very catchy Mark. That rental lens should serve you well with all the sights and sounds in SF. And how about a shot or two inside the airplane and out the window?
