Jefferson Memorial

I wanted to get a photo of the Jefferson Memorial for the Fourth of July, but the weather was awful. Tonight after work it was actually pretty nice, only mildly muggy.

Nikon D70
1/50s f/10.0 at 24.0mm iso200 full exif

nice architecture shot - threes work; texture on the column.

Did you lay on the ground to take this? You might look a little silly? But cool picture.

Great angle. I hope that's a curved memorial and not barrel distortion from your 24mm!

Never seen the monument from this angle. Well done, sir.

Thanks Alon. I didn't crop. I spent a lot of time trying to line this shot up. A tripod would have helped. In all I took 33 photos here. I can't imagine taking that many with film just to see if I could find a good angle. Many junk, but about two I really liked. Digital definately has it's advantages.
