Did you like the pretty pink flower from May 12th? Here it is twelve days later...und die Blume abgefallen. (Well, maybe this isn't exactly the same one, but it's from the same place and could very well be the same one.)

My first day shooting RAW. I do think I like these images better.

Nikon D70
1/100s f/9.0 at 50.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I love the colour of the dead petals, reminds me of a sepia effect.

RAW is wonderful for storing pictures for the future. You don't know what new editing programs will be available then, and you want to save all the information from your old pictures. I only use RAW too.
This dead rose looks like paper, has a kind of beauty nevertheless.

Excellent detail Mark - I've been shooting raw right from the beginning, and wouldn't rade it. ( OTOH the Canon 10D shoots raw with a jpeg inside it, so quick extraction of the jpeg version is always an option if I'm in a hurry )

I shoot raw all the time. I like the improved DPI and the control over the image in PS before loading it into PS.

Terrific detail from the D70 has a very smooth look about it!

And I still have it in pink on my desktop for my image:) It just goes to prove we make a difference in preserving a beautiful rose by taking its picture.

What a drastic difference from the vivid life of the pink one! I love this, Mark.
