March 15, 2004

I was on my way out of the staff break room to try to find a photo for today outside, when I passed this damaged, gift book on a shelf. I thought it was interesting looking, just a small collection of tales from Edmund Spencer, I think is what it said inside. So I pulled another gift book off a shelf, dusted them off on my pants and "posed" them on the floor, the larger book as a background.

Okay. I know, this is really boring! Whatever! Some days...

It isn't boring Mark, I love these old books and that cover looks beautiful.

Mark, I just happened to click back to this image to read the comments (I know... I really do need to use my time better) and followed the link left by someone below. Awesome. Don't you think that's kind of cool... your 'boring' shot led to such an interesting link? I do! :)

Cool link Jeff. Susie, check out Jeff's link, not in middle English. I thought this book might have some appeal to our UK friends.

Mark, this is a good book! One of my dearest friends did a big thesis on it while working on her PhD. I have a lot of trouble following the old English, but the stories are great. Beautiful picture. They just don't make book covers like that anymore. Sigh.

Do not appologize! This is some of the finest writing to ever come out of England. The cover is beautiful.
If you care to learn more about the book here is a URL.

Beautiful cover. They don't make them like that anymore. I wonder what the stories are like.

I don't think it's THAT boring....It's a gorgeous book cover, and I like the fact that you dusted it off on your pants. Soom, there will be MANY things to take piccies of, in NYC!
