Jeanne, from what I can tell researching it, it's standard barley stout, brewed entirely and solely in Ireland for "consistency of taste" the world over....

Comfort food? Hmm. Well, it was comforting, especially the soup and the beer.

Potato. I'm not a big fish eater. And the beer was perfect. Not as heavy as Guiness, very smooth.
