This weekend was a "work" weekend for me. My mom came down for a "visit" and we worked on painting my bedroom. First we scrapped and sanded and spackled the ceiling. It was a mess. Concrete and plaster covered with some poor paint jobs and many cracks. We worked without removing any major furniture from the bedroom, hence my computer was unavailable--sealed in plastic from the dust. After sealer, and two coats of ultra white paint the ceiling was finished on Sunday. Finally, we got to the "fun" part which was painting one wall and the entrance of the room "Caraway" green. Here we are at the end of Saturday evening, covered in dust from all the spackling and sanding. I can't decide which photo to use. "A" has more interesting lighting, but "B" shows just how dusty we were.

After cleaning up we had fun watching a university ice hockey game. Alas, I shot film so you'll have to wait for the results. The girls(!) played pretty aggressively and the home team was up 9-2 at the half when I left--out of film and satisfied that we couldn't possibly lose.
