Napier on the east coast of North Island. This is one of the renowned Art Deco cities in the world. In 1931 Naper was struck by an earth quake and subsequentelly rebuilt in typical Art Deco style, symbolizing the main ideas of the time: Freedom for women, machines and technical inventions and overthrow of old conventions.
