Owned by Floyd and Ada Spinnell, Cool Springs was originally
built in 1926, as a Mobil Oil Station that serviced Route 66
travelers until it burned to the ground in 1966. During the heyday
of Routee 66 it had a cafe and tourist cabins and was the last
stop before the much feared Gold Road and Sitgreaves Pass.
Ned and Michelle Leuchtner bought the ruins of the old Cool Springs Camp
and restored it to its former glory. It was reopened for business in 2004.
