Clebe McClary as well

North Charleston SC

www.clebemcclary.com

March 3, 1968 during his 19th Recon mission in Vietnam, Lt McClary was critically wounded by an enemy attack. As a result of his bravery under fire and the concern he demonstrated for his men, Clebe was presented the Silver Star and the Bronze Star by the President of the United States.

Although he suffered loss of eye, an arm and was told he would never walk again, he never lost the determination, dedication and courage to overcome his circumstances.

He holds the record for the Balke treadmill test at the renowned Coopers Clinic in Dallas, TX--the same record shot at and missed that year by the collective membership of the Dallas Cowboys! When you consider that this record holder is the same individual who endured three years of hospitalization and underwent thirty-four reconstructive surgical operations, you canbegin to understand what Lt. McCleary means when he triumphantly asserts his view of discipline: Press on regardless!
