22nd March

At about 3pm I noticed that lots of wonderful fluffy clouds were in the sky. I thought it would be a good idea to photograph Clevedon Pier again. I spent a few hours shooting away and then decided to wait for sunset. I didn't get home till 7.30pm and then spent the next hour uploading the images to the PC and checking them in Photoshop - much to the disgust of Ness, my fiance.

I think it's quite hard to be a photographer's partner. Not only do they have to endure the cold and wind while we hang on for just another hour to 'get the shot' but when we get home they have to put up with the dissapearance of their loved one while they spend hours tweaking images on their computers. Or is that just me?

This one is beautiful, too. I like the way you keep shooting the same thing from different angles in different lights. As you say, you don't have to travel all over the world to find something interesting. You just have to be paying attention a little bit. Keep 'em coming.

I am surprised how many people comment and are surprised about sunset or sunrise shots.
Even being wonderfull pictures, nothing is indeed more simple to do than this kind of pictures. The only thing to observe is to be on the right place on the right moment and selection of the object to shade is sometimes tricky. This shot is wonderfully nice, the object choosen and the details shaded are real exceptional. All in all a shot that can be showed and apreciated for it's rich selection of details. A shot that will not only nicely look on a wall but that one can retain too as an excellent wallpaper for the PC.
I much like this picture Geoff.

That is beautiful Geoff! The details in the silhouette are great. Perhaps you could get Ness a camera too and she might be less bored. :-)

Stunning! Just being aware that she's 'putting up with your addiction' counts for a lot.

Maybe you'll have to buy Ness a camera and you can shoot and edit together :o)

Well worth her pain and suffering I should say, though she might disagree. Great shot.

I have always wondered why women seem to hate photography.
Now you give a simple but profound explanation: jealousy! Ah...;-)
Guest 22-Mar-2004 21:23
Haha I think everyone who loves photography does the same thing. As time consuming as it can be it's so rewarding being able to express a feeling though a photograph. All your time seems to have paid off, another excellent image! Keep on truckin' :)
