At the Zoo

All captive animals that I have photographed are labeled as such: either on the photo or else by being in a NOT-in-the-wild gallery such as this one. Most of my animal photography is done in the animals' wild, natural habitat. Still, I will also take my camera with me to the zoo.

Although not adrenaline pumping, the zoo offers a touch of "nature" - nature in captivity. With all the wire and glass, Zoos often are more a photo challenge than shooting animals in wild Nature. Or at least, I personally find zoo photography difficult. Nevertheless, zoos give many people the opportunity to view animals from around the world that they might not otherwise ever see.
