At dawn on this May morning, I awoke to the sound of a helicopter. With my trusty Uzi (Olympus C-2100uz)in hand, I watched as a rescue from the Red Rocks of Sedona played out in the distance. Unfortunately, injuries from hiking and climbing on the Red Rock Formations in Sedona are not uncommon.

Many of the photographs here were taken using the B-300 lens hand held. To get an idea of the distance from my balcony, look at the first photo of the Red Rocks. Across the road on the right, you will see a small, lighter area (about 1/4 from the bottom) that is but a mere speck in the wide angle photograph. That is where the ambulance and helicopter rendezvoused.
