Eaglet Twins

Missouri

Again, my patience paid off. I waited 5 hours for this shot!!!

For most people, the chance to see wild, new born Eagles is kind of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. So I felt the wait was worth getting this photo - even if I only did get a few brief moments of actually seeing the babies pop their heads up.

A lovely shot Liz! Our local eagle pair had a difficult year in 2008...intruders chasing them off the nest (2 eggs lost), female was startled in the middle of the night (two more eggs lost - cracked), and finally on May 22nd their lone eaglet was removed from the nest and diagnosed with avian pox. So glad to see this handsome pair of eaglets, I'm glad you waited those 5 hours!
